자카르타 출장. 

처음이다 인도네시아는… 

사실 뭐 동남아시아를 자주 안 다녔으니… 

인도네시아는 나시고랭이 유명하다하여 호텔 근처로 #트립어드바이저 로 열심히 검색해서 찾아본 식당. 

식당 건너편에 도착해서 보는데 식당이 굉장히 으리으리했다. 

굉장한 고급식당인가보다. 

식당에 도착해보니 인도네시아 벤틀리클럽 동호회가 개최되고 있었다. 

역시 벤틀리는 동호회 수준이 다르구먼 ㅎㅎ 

다들 신사 숙녀로 드레스업하고 #ㅎㄷㄷㄷ 

식사 가능한지 물어보니 구석에 앉아서 먹으란다. ㅋ

​나시고랭과 물 하나 시켜서 먹으려는데 물이 거의 애피타이저 수준이라 물은 안 마시고 애피타이저 먹기로 ^^ 

두부 튀김 애피타이저 주문했다. 

두부 튀김은 좀… 겉은 바삭하고 속은 소프트한데… 

버섯 향이 좀 강했다. 

내가 버섯을 안 좋아해서 한입 먹고 못 먹었던… 

나시고랭은 맛있다. 

익숙한 맛이다. 

짜장밥-!!! 

김치가 절실히 필요하다. 

김치가 없다면 단무지라도 내게 달라고-!! 

출장 일정이 길어지다보니 한국 음식이 많이 생각나는듯. 

이래저래 입맛에는 맞았다. 

나시고랭의 짭짤함에 땅콩이 들어가있어서 고소함이 더해진. 

식당이 고급이라 그런지 대체적 음식 맛이 굉장히 깔끔했다. 

식당 사장님이 오셔서 한국 대사관 분들 자주 오신다고 웃으며 말씀해주셨다. 

그만큼 자기네 식당 수준급이라고 어필하시는. 

나도 인정-!!

인도네시아 출장 다시 잡히면 꼭 다시 와야겠다. 

다시오면 현지 음식을 좀 더 도전해보기로-!!

It is my first time in Indonesia. 

It was my first meal in Indonesia. 

I am going with Nasi Goreng. Yes-!! 

There was a restaurant that I searched from #tripadvisor that was close from the hotel and also had a good reviews. 

When I arrived very near to the restaurant, wow, the restaurant was super fancy. 

When I got to the door, it had a sign that said ‘Bentley Jakarta Club Night’ or something like that… 

So, the Bentley owners in Jakarta had a night out. 

I asked the restaurant staff and she said that I could still dine there and got me a table.

I ordered a bowl of #nasigoreng and tahunenek, a fried tofu. 

The tahu nenek had that mushroom and carrot taste, which I am not a big fan of. 

However, the nasi goring was delicious. 

It was a bit soy saucy with the savory flavor of a peanut. 

It was just full of joy to have a mouth full of nasi goring to chew on. 

The restaurant was superb, clean and felt like VIP just being there. 

I would definitely come back here for a bowl of nasigoreng and some other Indonesian local dishes next time I visit.

나랑 내 친구는 종종 묻는 질문이 있다. 

‘워너윙?’ (윙먹으러 갈래?) ㅋ 

우린 2013년도부터 이태원의 Hollywood Grill 을 다녔는데 여기가 문 닫고 나서 갈 곳을 잃었다. 

그렇다가 찾게 된 일명 이태원 삼거리 치킨집. 쓰리앨리. 

여기도 닫았다. 

하하하. 

우리가 가면 닫는건가??? ㅋ 

윙 맛집 찾고 찾고 찾았는데. 

드디어 찾은듯.

​오늘은 사촌과 함께 했다. 

사촌도 워낙 윙을 좋아라해서 ㅎㅎ 

더블 주문하고 둘이서 20 개는 적으니 10개 추가했다.

약간의 옷을 입히고 튀기시는 것 같은… 

그래야 소스가 잘 입혀지기도 하지만 말이다. 

그래서 그런지 양 것 못 먹은 것 같다 ㅋ

개인적으로 클래식 버팔로 및 소이 와사비 추천. 

소이 와사비 정말 짜릿한 맛이 너무 인상적이다. 

어메이진저는 소스 이름 그대로 생강향이 살짝 나며 문안해다. 

맵지는 않았다. 

더블을 시키면 사이드 두개 주문 가능한데 바삭한 슈스트링 감자튀김 그리고 대왕 양파링 크로켓. 

양파링 크로켓 대박. 

쫀득하니 양파가 가득한데 겉은 바삭한게… 나이스-!! 

무조건 사이드는 양파링 크로켓 먹고 들어간다.

This is it-!! I found it. 

My #wingspot for them delish wings. 

Of course, I ain’t gonna skip out on them cold ones too.

I ordered double, which comes with twenty pieces of wings (four sauce choices) and two sides. 

I added ten more wings to make it thirty total. 

The sauces I got was #smokehouse #classicbuffalo #amazinger #honeybutter #soywasabi 

I would have to say that the Classic Buffalo always hits me on the spot. 

On the other hand, the Soy Wasabi, this is a must try at Nekkid Wings. 

The wasabi kick just adds a bunch of flavors to the already delicious wings. 

Think #heatonist needs to get a bottle with strong wasabi kick to it.

The side I got was shoestring fries and giant onion ring croquette. 

The onion ring croquette is a must. 

This is super chewy, oniony, crispy and all that and more. 

It was heavenly taste. 

This side will be staple for me for sure.

If you are feeling for some wings in Korea, I highly recommend that you check out Nekkid Wings. 

It’s good. 

Cold one and a wing, how can it ever go wrong?

여기는 맛집으로 전부터 들어왔던 곳인데 이제서야 온 것이 후회 될 정도인 맛집이다. 

메밀장터는 상호 그대로 메밀이 유명한 집인데 전에 왔을 땐 시래기 닭 매운탕만 먹어봤다. 

물론. 

엄청 맛있게 먹었다. 

그 후로 메밀 먹어봐야지,,, 하고 벼르고 벼렀지만 

3~4년이 지난 이제서야 겨우 와봤다.

​우선. 시킨것은 들기름 막국수 그리고 어머니께서 사랑하시는 메밀소바-!! 

면만 먹으면 아쉬우니 명태회수육 (소) 로 하나 주문했다. 

어머니께서 광화문 #진미 의 메밀소바를 어릴적부터 좋아하셨는데 이제는 진미 맛이 변해서 안 좋아하신다. 

그런데, 한입 드시자마자 

‘아, 시원하고 좋네. 그리고 예전 진미 맛이나~ 맛있네~ 고마워 아들~’ 하시는데, 

너무 뿌듯했다. 

한젓가락 주시는데 넙죽 받아먹어보니, 

정말 시원하고 메밀소바의 쯔유도 상당히 진하니 맛있었다. 

난 들기름 막국수. 

그냥 앞에 있는데 고소하다. 

먹지도 않았는데 향기가 아주… 브라보~!! 

침이 흐르지만 사진 좀 찍고,,, ㅎㅎ 

한입 먹는 순간… 

고소함이 확 밀려오는데, 너무 고마웠다. 

어쩜 이리도 시원하며 간이 적당하고 고소한 들기름 향이 툭툭 끊어지는 메밀과 잘 어울리는지-!! 

한입 한입 너무 고소하고 맛있었다. 

명태회 막국수도 유명해서 고민하다가 들기름 막국수 시켰는데 최고의 선택-!! 

막국수와 함께 먹을 먕태회수육은 어떻게 얘기해야하지?? 

수육은 뻑뻑했다. 

하지만 명태회는 정말 맛있었다. 

아주머니께 여쭤보니 명태회는 따로 시킬 수 있다고… 

다음부터 명태회만 시키기로-!!

‘Oh wow, this is good-!!’ is the first words that burst out of my mouth when took the first bite. 

I could not help but say that with a big smile. 

This restaurant is definitely a keeper. 

I am coming back. 

I am coming back with my friends and family. 

Of course, family first tho. #familyguy

I came here about 3~4 years ago. 

I had some chicken soup dish, which was good. 

However, they are famous for their buckwheat noodle. 

So, since then, I have been meaning to revisit to try their noodle. 

Took me quite a long time to make that revisit. 

I regret this a lot because this place is just amazing-!!!

​I ordered sesame seed buckwheat noodle. 

This is a must try dish. #musttry 

My mother ordered one of her favorite dish buckwheat soba. 

From the first bite, she was satisfied. 

She recalled one of her favorite soba restaurant from her childhood and mentioned that it tasted almost like it. 

That restaurant since then has gone bad. 

They still do exist due to their reputation but their taste isn’t there anymore. #hateitwhenthishappens 

However, my mom couldn’t help but just mention that it was one of the best soba she’s had in a while. 

She also kept mentioning that we should come back here as a whole family. 

This is a good sign.

출장 일정이 하루 이틀이면 몰라도 약 일주일부터는 한국음식이 생각나기마련… 

인도네시아에서 마지막 미팅이 급하게 백화점에서 잡혀 미팅을 마치고 공항으로 출발 전 식당을 찾고 있었다. 

한류 열풍 때문인가? 백화점 식당가에 한국 식당들이-!! 

한 곳도 아니고 두 곳이나-!!! 

자세히 메뉴판을 공부하고 결정한 곳은 청가와-!!

주처하지 않고 바로 시켰다. 

김치찌개. 그리고 잠시 머뭇거렸다. 

그리고 추가했다. 물냉면 한그릇. 

김치찌개가,,, 한국에서 먹는 김치찌개보다 맛있다는 생각이 들었다. 

정말 한입 한입 먹을 때마다 몸에 쌓인 피로가 풀리는… 

음식이라기보다 약이었다. 

한참 김치찌개를 먹다가 눈에 들어온 냉면. 

하하하. 내 사랑 냉면아, 어서 이리 오너라-!! 

냉면 한입을 먹는데, 

아, 힘난다. 

더운 나라들 한바퀴 돌고 있는데 이렇게 시원한 냉면을 맞이하니 더욱 더 힘이 났다.

I was travelling throughout few countries by then and started to miss Korean food. 

I was planning to fly over from Indonesia to the Philippines. 

As I was preparing to leave the hotel, I got in touch with one of the partners that I wanted to meet but was not able to due to schedule. 

However, he sent me a mssg that he had an hour and I went over to meet him at Puri Indah Mall.

After meeting, as I was in the mall, I decided to grab dinner before leaving for the airport. 

I was surprised to see a couple of Korean restaurants and I studied their menu and decided to go with Chung Gi Wa.

I immediately ordered #kimchijjigae and thought for a second and ordered #mulnaengmyeon 

As soon as I took a sip of kimchi jjigae, 

wowwee~~~ 

I felt my tired body melting and being blessed with the power of healing. 

I mean, it just felt good and I finished half of the rice in a heartbeat. 

Then I realized that there was mulnaengmyeon, which is one of my favorite dishes in the world. 

I had a bite and it was refreshing. 

Oh yes, I felt like I was being charged with these food and within thirty minutes, I finished both bowls of goodness and packed up to go to the airport all charged up and full of energy.

If I am ever visiting Jakarta, I am definitely coming back here to get myself charged up for wherever I am going next. 

Thank you for such an amazing food Chung Gi Wa.

오전 미팅한 업체와 갔다. 

점심으로. 오후 미팅한 업체와 저녁 식사하러 갔다. 

도착해보니 또 여기다. 

여긴 그만큼 현지인들이 인정하는 맛집이다.

태국 현지 음식 프렌차이즈 식당이다. 

수많은 음식들이 있는데 사진들이 있어서 주문하기에 편하다.

​닭고기 국수가 가장 유명한 것 같다. 

닭고기 국수로 시작했다고 하는 식당인만큼 현지 파트너사들은 기본으로 하나씩 시키고 시작하더라. 

맛은 깔끔했다. 

이 집에서 꼭 먹어야하는 어쑤언. 굴전. 

이건 술술 들어간다. 

굴이 많고 탱굴탱굴~하다 ㅎㅎ 

매콤한 소스를 살찍 첨가해서 먹어도 맛난다. 

무싸떼. 커리양념꼬치구이. 

이것도 완전 잘 넘어간다. 

먹고 먹고 또 먹고. 

핑크빛 소스가 올려진 해산물 요리는 새콤달콤했다. 

굴소스가 올라간 쌈 요리는 이름은 기억 안나지만 굉장히 맛있었던-!! 

그리고 한국인들이 가장 좋아하는 태국 음식 중 하나인 #푸폿팡커리 설명이 필요없는 맛이다.

태국 디저트를 먹어보았다. 

바삭거리는 전병 안에 달달한 소스가 발라져있는데 한개 먹고 두개 먹고 또 또 손이가는 ㅎㅎ 

그리고 비슷한데 바삭하지 않고 붕어빵 같은 촉촉한 느낌의 빵 안에 달달한 소스가 들어간 것도 아주 맛났다. 

개인적으로 두번째꺼가 더 좋았던~ 

여기서 끝인가,,, 싶었는데 얼음 빙수 국물같은 것을 내주었다. 

더운 태국 날씨에 먹기에 아주 좋은 디저트-!!

프렌차이즈라 그런지 대체적으로 음식들이 준수한 맛이었고 깔끔하기도 상당히 깔끔했다. 

왜 이곳을 파트너사 분들이 데리고 오셨는지 이해되는.

Mae Sri Ruen is a popular Thai cuisine franchise throughout Thailand. 

On a day that I had two meetings with my two different Thai partners, they both took me to this restaurant for both lunch and dinner. 

This shows me how good Mae Sri Ruen’s reputation and taste is.

Mae Sri Ruen, based on my knowledge, started with chicken noodle. 

That’s probably why my partners ordered one bowl of chicken soup as a default. 

It had clean chicken broth / noodles taste, which I enjoyed very much. 

A must try dish is Patpong Curry and Hoy Tod. Patpong 

Curry is fried crab covered in curry and hoy tod is oyster omelette. 

They just hit a home run for me. Crispy. 

Full of taste. I had a chance to experience 

Thai dessert. The crispy texture and sweet cream was very delicious. 

It sort of made me think of my childhood. 

The other one was similar in taste but the pastry part was not crispy as the first one but rather warm and soft. 

Personally, I liked this one better. Last but not least, the bowl of iced full of fruits and other ingredients was very refreshing. 

If I had to choose one dessert, it would definitely be this one.

현지에서도 맛집으로 인정 받은 곳이라 오전 10시 이전에는 가야 하는 곳이다. 

포장 손님들도 많아서 한쪽에는 포장된 음식들이 나열되어 있다. 

백종원 스트리트 푸드파이터에 소개된 이후 한국 방문객들도 많이 찾을 수 있다. 

아침 7시반부터 시작해서 오후 1시반이면 문을 닫는다. 

사장님. 부럽습니다. 하하하

족발 한접시 (카끼) 그리고 장조림같은 것 한접시 (카무). 

밥은 따로 주문해야한다. 

옆에 매콤한 소스가 있는데 소스가 맛이 있다. 

하지만 족발 국물에 비벼먹는 것도 맛이 있다. 

개인적으로 족발 국물이 좀 더 맛있었다.

익숙한 그 맛인데 부드러움은 새롭다고 느껴질 것이다.

고추 초절임과 마늘, 라임 등을 섞어 만든 매콤한 소스 (나찜카무) 를 찍어먹으면 느끼함?이 좀 달래진다. 

다음에 온다면 김치를 갖고 오면 최상일 것이라고 생각하며 두 접시를 다 비웠다.

Charoensang Silom is a very popular spot amongst the locals. 

They open at 7:30 AM and closes at 1:30 PM. 

However, to be on the safe side, you gotta get there before 10AM to get yourself a dish full of goodness. 

This restaurants was introduced in Korean food program several times and since then, you will see many Korean tourists visiting to get their bites.

​I ordered a pig feet (kaki) and a meat dish (kamu). 

You gotta order the rice separately tho. 

On the table, there is a spicy sauce that you can sprinkle a bit on your dish. 

However, I prefer the soy based sauce that the meat was served with.

The pig feet just melts in your mouth. 

The skin, meat and bone separates from itself and just melts. 

It was a good way to get some #collagen in my system. 

Hope I will wake up with a perfect skin tomorrow. #lol 

The meat dish is also soft. It’s a taste that most Asians are familiar with but the soft texture makes the experience new.

The spicy sauce (najimkamu) is made up of spicy pepper, garlic, lime and other ingredients. 

If you add a bit of the sauce, it sort of refreshes your mouth and gives you a bit of a break from the oily soy sauce taste in your mouth. 

On my next visit, I am going to bring a packet of kimchi lol

태국에서 새로운 사랑에 빠졌다. 쁘라짝 오리 ㅎㅎ

이 집은 #100년전통 의 #오리고기 맛집이다. 

1878년 중국인이 태국에서 광동식 오리고기를 만들며 시작했다. 

태국에서 유명해지기 시작한 것은 1909년, 태국 청년이 장가가서 음식점을 인수 받은 후라고 한다. 

현재까지 4대가 운영하고 있다.

아침 일찍 갔는데 이미 사람들은 많았다. 

1층 2층 있는데 1층 구석에 겨우겨우 합석으로 앉은... 

가장 유명한 메뉴 추천을하니 오리고기 국수였다. 

물론 태국은 양이 적으니 오리고기덮밥도 하나 추가했다. 

덮밥 먹는 순간... 미치는 줄 알았다. 

입안에 오리고기 향과 달착지근한 소스가 입을 한가득 매꾼다. 

침이 고인다. 

흥분된다... 

하악-!! 

그런데 씹는 순간 오리고기 육즙이 터지며 오리고기 기름과 소스에 촉촉하게 젓은 밥알들이 입안을 마구 매꿔준다. 

좋다. 

이거 좋다-!!!

​한참 흥분된 자신을 가라앉히고 국수를 먹어봤다. 

국수 조금,, 오리 얹어서... 

소스 범벅된 국수가 춤을 춘다. 

미끄덩 미끄덩 입안에서 오리고기랑 같이 춤춘다. 

와~ 또 흥분되네. 

어쩜 이렇게 맛있지? 

아니,,, 특별하게 뭐 한 것은 없는 음식인데 정말 맛있다. 

가족들과 같이 오고 싶다. 

부모님께 맛보여드리고 싶은 맛이다. 

나만 먹기 아깝다. 

같이 먹고 싶다. 

정말 맛있다.

한참을 덮밥과 국수를 오가고 있는데 국물 한그릇을 준다. 

난 한국인이다. 

매콤한게 좋다. 

식탁에 있는 태국 고추가루를 좀 올렸다. 

국물이 얼큰해졌다. 

이거 정말 #신의한수 #하하하 

몇그릇이든 더 먹을 수 있도록 내 입맛 리프레쉬해줬다. 

여긴 맛집이다. 

정말 맛있다. 

또 온다. 무조건-!! 

대신. 다음에 올 때는 혼자오고 싶지 않다. 

사랑하는 가족과 이 기쁨을 나누고 싶다.

This restaurant is 100 + years old. 

In 1878, a Chinese man started it. 

A Thai man married into the family and this is when the restaurant started to get popular. 

Currently, the fourth generation is running the place.

I got there early in the morning. 

It was already fully packed. 

They set me with a couple that was having their breakfast. 

I asked for what's popular and was recommended roasted duck over noodle. 

I also ordered roasted duck over rice.

​I decided to go with the rice first and I fell in love with the first bite. 

The duck woozed out the juice. 

The rice that soaked up the sauce and oil from the duck filled my mouth with the flavor. 

It was heavenly. I calmed myself down and went for a bite of noodle. 

Got a piece of duck and slurped up some noodle. 

Woo Wow Oh Yes-!! 

The juice covered noodle danced and danced. 

I wished that I was not alone and was sharing this delish with my family. 

It's one of those food that you want to share with your loved ones. 

Love this restaurant. 

I am definitely coming back. 

Highly recommend this place.

올드페리도넛은 인스타에서 이미 충분히 맛집으로 소문난 곳인데 몇번 전에 방문한 결과,,, 

한국에서는 가장 맛있는 그리고 창의성 있는 도너츠 맛집이라고 인정한다. 

맛도 과하게 달지 않고,, 속에 들어간 잼?? 크림?? 구성물?? 들도 우수하다.

개인적으로 추천하는 도너츠 메뉴는 #크렘브룰레 #피넛버터 #티라미수 #애플시나몬 

물론... 코코넛 도 맛있었는데 개인적으로 코코넛을 사랑하진 않아서... 쿨럭 ㅎㅎ

어제 지인과 동네에서 저녁 식사 후 급 땡겨서 쐈는데 도너츠는 이미 판매 완료 된 상태. 

그래도 도너츠가 먹고 싶었기에 라떼 위에 도너츠가 올라가는 튜브라떼를 시켰다. 

애기 손바닥만한 도너츠가 올라가 있는데 라떼 거품에 둥둥 떠있는게 재미있었다. 

도너츠 아랫부분에 글레이즈 처리를 했는지 라떼 거품에 떠있음에도 불구하고 바삭하며 도너츠에 커피가 스며들어 쫄깃한 식감을 없애지 않았다. 

달달한 도너츠와 고소한 라떼. 좋은 조합. 

다음에는 일찍 가서 도너츠 먹기로-!!

Old Ferry Donut is one of the best donut shop in Korea. 

They got the looks. 

Their instagram is popping-!! 

And-!! 

They certainly do make a mean delicious donut. 

Also, if you visit the shop, their artwork on wall and shirts that they sell is quite eye catchy.

The donut that I personally recommend is their #cremebrulee #peanutbutter #tiramisu and #applecinnamon and the greentea one was... IMO, disappointing but of course, you might like it.

I got there after dinner. I was too late. 

All their donuts were soldout and I was left with only one choice. 

#tubelatte which is a latte with a small donut on top of it. 

They would not sell that small donut as it is but only with the latte.

The donut floating on top of the latte was quite crispy outside. 

I think they made a thicker coating at the bottom of the donut so it would not be soaky from floating on top of the latte. 

It balanced well with their latte and overall, I enjoyed it very much. 

I just hope that they would allow sales of one additional donuts for each ones that gets tube latte.
