최근 자연의 중심부에 자리잡은 Cold Spring Tavern 을 방문하였다.

정말 가보고 싶었던 곳 이기에 먼 거리지만 달렸다.

산속을 달리다 조그마한 도로로 빠지는데

들어가다보면 줄서있는 차들을 보면 압도를 받게 된다.

소박한 분위기와 친절한 직원들이 기억에 남는다.

분위기가 산속이라 그런지 압도적이다. 한국에선 상상 불가한 곳이다.

한국이었으면 입구에 편의점이 있고 담배 꽁초와 쓰래기들이 흩어져 있었을테니…

난 유명한 트리팁 샌드위치, 어니언링 그리고 칠리 샘플러 주문했다.

검색하기 전에 수많은 리뷰를 찾아봤는데 Colina de Nacho 까지는 주문을 못 했다.

한국에서 비행기 타고 미국 LA 까지 갔는데 여기 안 가면 정말 손해다.

콜드 스프링 태번의 트라이팁 샌드위치는 정말 걸작 그 자체다.

참나무로 구운 두꺼운 트라이팁 소고기가 완벽하게 익어 부드럽고 풍미가 풍부한 식감을 준다. 식당에서 직접 만든 소스는 트라이팁의 스모키한 풍미에 톡 쏘는 맛을 더해준다.

소스 없이 한입 먹고 소스와 함께 한번 먹길 추천한다. 아마도 소스 추가하게 될 것이다.

사실. 소스가 한 몫을 크게 한다. 비행기 좌석을 비즈니스로 업그레이도 못 하지만 트라이팁 샌드위치 맛은 업그레이드 가능하다. (너무한가? ㅋㅋ)

이 트라이팁 샌드위치는 고기를 사랑하는 사람들에게 진정한 즐거움 준다.

이런 샌드위치가 한국에 없다는게 참 아쉽다.

어니언링. 이건 정말 정말 바삭바삭하다. 겉바가 이만한 겉바는 없다. 

지금까지 먹어본 어니언링 중 가장 바삭바삭하다.

반죽은 완벽한 황금색이고 중간에 눅눅해지지 않고 끝까지 바삭바삭함을 선사한다.

랜치 드레싱은 어니언링을 크림처럼 톡 쏘는 맛까지 추가해준다.

사이드로 무조건 주문해야 한다.

친구들과 나눠먹어도 되지만… 난 혼자 다 먹는 것을 선호한다. 머. 살은 여행 다녀와서 빼는거니… ㅋ

Cold Spring Tavern의 Colina de Nachos는 접시 위의 축제다

본 식당에서 만든 칩, 그리고 수 많은 토핑들…

콜드 스프링 칠리, 과카몰레, 사워 크림, 치즈, 살사는 그냥 보기만해도 만족스럽다.

물론 난 바보같이 주문을 안 했기 때문에 만족하지 않다.

다음에 가면 무조건 시킨다.

고소한 칠리, 크리미한 과카몰레, 상쾌한 살사…

이 글을 읽으시는 분이라면 (사진보고 끝내는 분 말고…) 제발 저 대신하여 행복을 만끽하길 바란다.

다양한 칠리의 세계를 즐거워하는 분들에게 콜드 스프링 태번의 칠리 샘플러는 필수다.

샘플러는 Cold Spring, Wild Game, Chili Verde Chilis 세가지로 구성되어 있다.

각각의 칠리 맛이 독특하고 다양한 재료와 향신료를 맛볼 수 있다.

사실 이 샘플러만으로도 충분히 푸짐해서 배가 부를 수 있다.

남겨도 주문하자. 물론 음식 남기는건 안되지만… 이건 정말 최고의 칠리다.

개인적으로 먹어본 칠리 중 최고였다.

다음엔 꼭 포장용기를 가져갈 것이다.

전반적으로, 콜드 스프링 태번의 경험은 잊지 못할 추억이었다.

아니, 앞으로 더 많이 만들어 나아갈 추억의 첫 방문이었다.

참나무로 구운 소고기와 식당에서 만든 소스가 곁들여진 트리팁 샌드위치는 눈을 뜨게하는 샌드위치였다.

어니언링은 바삭바삭하고 만족스러운 사이드였고, 나초는 못 먹었지만 꼭 먹길 바라며 추천하는 메뉴다.

물론. 칠리 샘플러도 필수니 꼭 주문하길 추천한다.

콜드 스프링 태번의 서비스도 너무 좋았고 세심했으며 전반적으로 너무 좋은 경험을 했다.

전 직원 다 너무 친절하고 맥주 등 주류파는 곳에 있는 웨이터분은 상당한 미인이시다.

LA 의 도시에서 벗어나 산속에서 평화로운 즐거움을 경험하실 수 있길 추천한다.

여긴 정말 최고 중 최고다.

아, 물론… 선물 가게가 있으니 머 하나 집어오시길… ㅎㅎ

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cold Spring Tavern, a charming establishment nestled in the heart of nature.

The rustic ambiance and friendly staff immediately set the tone for a memorable dining experience.

During my visit, I indulged in a variety of dishes, including the renowned Tri-Tip Sandwich, Tavern Onion Rings, Colina de Nachos, and the Chili Sampler. Here's my review of each delightful offering.

If you have not yet had them, YOU ARE MISSING OUT.

The Tri-Tip Sandwich at Cold Spring Tavern is truly a masterpiece.

The oak-grilled, thick-sliced tri-tip beef is cooked to perfection, resulting in a tender and flavorful bite.

The house-made sauce enhances the smoky flavor of the meat and adds a delightful tanginess.

The sandwich is so good but the house-made sauce really makes it one of the best in the world.

This sandwich is a true delight for meat lovers, leaving you satisfied and craving more.

Next up, the Tavern Onion Rings. These beer-battered onion rings are truly crispy.

It has to be one of the most crispy onion rings I’ve ever had the delightful chance to enjoy.

The batter has a perfect golden hue and a satisfying crunch with each bite.

Dipping them into the accompanying ranch dressing adds a creamy and tangy element that complements the rings beautifully.

They are an ideal appetizer or side dish, perfect for sharing with friends or devouring on your own.

(I prefer to devour all on my own. Haha)

The Colina de Nachos at Cold Spring Tavern looks like a fiesta on a plate.

The homemade chips, freshly made, and multitude of toppings.

Cold Spring Chili, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and salsa looks like the one of the best nachos you can ever ask for, giving you the pleasure with a blend of exploding flavors and textures.

Burst of savory chili, creamy guacamole, and the refreshing tang of salsa…

It’s one dish that I couldn’t order because there was already too much food for two people.

However, it really looks like a crowd-pleasing dish that is perfect for sharing or enjoying as a main course.

For those who appreciate the diverse world of chili, the Chili Sampler at Cold Spring Tavern is a must-try.

This sampler features a cup of Cold Spring, Wild Game, and Chili Verde Chilis. Each chili is distinct in flavor and showcases different ingredients and spices.

From the rich and hearty Cold Spring Chili to the bold and gamey Wild Game Chili, and the tangy and vibrant Chili Verde, this sampler offers a delightful journey through chili variations.

Honestly, this was my favorite dish. I’d order some for take out on my next trip for sure.

Overall, my experience at Cold Spring Tavern was exceptional.

The Tri-Tip Sandwich, with its oak-grilled beef and house-made sauce, was a standout dish that left me wanting more.

The Tavern Onion Rings were a crispy and satisfying treat, while the Colina de Nachos is certainly on my list for my next visit which will complete me with a festive explosion of flavors.

The Chili Sampler showcased the restaurant's dedication to crafting diverse and delicious chili varieties.

The service at Cold Spring Tavern was warm, attentive, and added to the overall positive experience.

The rustic ambiance and scenic surroundings make this restaurant a perfect getaway from the city bustle.
